A ground breaking collaborative project, supported by Help Musicians, sharing stories of children, family, staff and musicians' experiences of health, music and hospitalisation through music and spoken word. The 1000 Days Project provides spaces for people to consider how stories of health and hospital experience can be told creatively, and reaches out across music, health and education communities.
The Fusion Fund - Help Musicians
“Funding from Help Musicians’ Fusion Fund will bring to life a project close to my heart. The 1000 Days Project will bring together three artists in a unique process of music and spoken word collaboration, and forge connections between institutions of health, medicine and music in the North West through a series of workshops engaging with the themes we will explore. Thank you, Help Musicians for making a dream into a reality.”
The 1000 Days Project received funding in 2019, from The Fusion Fund - which was set up predominantly to support collaborative work between musicians and creatives, with an aim to demonstrate the power of music when used with other creative fields within a research based setting.
Help Musicians recognises the powerful medium that is music and offers a wide spectrum of support to empower musicians through all stages of their careers and lives.
Thanks to Help Musicians and the Fusion Fund, the 1000 Days Project will bring together three artists in a unique process of music and spoken word collaboration, and forge connections between institutions of health, medicine, and music in the North West through a series of workshops engaging with the themes we will explore.
